Marcelino’s journey in construction began in the early 2000s at a framing job he had in Albany, Oregon. Before getting into the construction industry, Marcelino worked 2 jobs to make ends meet. he worked at a plant nursery in the day and at a warehouse at night. Due to the demanding jobs, and soon to be Father, Marcelino left both jobs and joined the framing business where it paid more than both jobs combined. A couple years later he joined his brother’s business that did tile, marble, and granite. due to unforeseen events, the business shut down and Marcelino, with a wife and now 3 kids, knew he needed to think of a way to earn money to provide for his family. In 2021 Marcelino decided he would start his own business, with the help of his daughter, Melina Villegas, they got on it and, in March, Mvm construction and remodel was born.

Melina helped her father start up the business, and at one point was the owner of the business but later on handed it to his father to explore other career opportunities. Melina came back to work for her father a couple years later, she realized she enjoyed working with him and the skills she learned helping run a business. Melina is everywhere and does almost everything such as being at the jobsite working with his father, handling social media, recording projects/taking pictures, answering phone calls/emails, attending networking meetings, and, well, being a family business, she also looks after her younger siblings. On top of that studying for school as well. For Melina, the grind never stops …. except for weekends, but even then.
Erica cortes
mom/wife/employee
Erica started to help his husband with the labor side of the business in 2023. Aside from helping his husband out, Erica has her own cleaning gig cleaning homes and apartment buildings. Erica has been in the cleaning industry A LITTLE OVER 10 Years.

I’van LIKES HELPING HIS FATHER OUT FROM TIME TO TIME LIKE BRINGING TOOLS TO HIM, TEARING STUFF OUT WHEN THERE’S DEMOLITION INVOLVED, AND NAILING.
Maritza Villegas
Little helper #2 from time to time
Maritza enjoys helping her father out whenever she can. She enjoys chatting with the clients and if you have kids or pets she will most likely become their friend and have a lot of fun playing around.
